Confessions of a gym class reject

Gym class is my kryptonite. I can't breath or think while I'm there. In fact I'm almost cirtain that if you left me there too long I would probably look more pitiful than when superman is anywhere near kryptonite. Sure I have superpowers. They just refuse to show during Gym. I am SUPER READER! Friend to outcasts and bookworms everywhere. I read novels at a breakneck pace and can type poems faster than the human eye can see! Ok, other than the first three sentances and the part about me being friends with bottom of the barrels everywhere and me reading novels at a breakneck pace, that's all bull. But I prefer to think that I have super powers, because when you're on my rung of the social ladder, you know the part of the social ladder in between the precambrian and cambrian periods, no, oh well, any way, you really don't get much of a chance to shine. Ya see people like me are avoided at all costs, we're mocked, abused, scorned, and it's just because we're different. A wise somebody once said, "Man fears that which he cannot understand or control." Ok I added the "or control" part but you get the main idea. We're all different, no two people are the same, our DNA, our finger prints, our toe prints, the layout of veins in our hands, our hand writing, our voice, our thoughts, even the inner layout of the eye! No two people have the same things, not even identical twins! We're all unique. Why do we seek to destroy that uniqueness, instead of embracing it? Why do we seek to be the same? Why are those who choose to be different casted aside like yesterday's trash? Why are those who choose to be the same placed on a higher pedistal than the rest of us? We should all know by now that being different isn't always a bad thing, sometimes it can be the best choice you ever made. I have found the family I never got to have in the friends I have made. I have found my one true home. I am happy where I'm at. Are you?
