History: She was born to very respectable members of the Oakfern herd and was a seemingly normal, healthy, fawn but not all was as it seemed.
One day she wandered too far from her parents and ended up in the deeper caverns there she met the shadow trio, malevolent entities that posed as beings that were her friends, who took her as their host. As she grew older their true intentions became clear but it was already too late for action. When she turned 4 she is sent to live in the deepest caves where she'd be far enough away from the rest of the herd where no one, in theory, would be harmed by her spirits.
For the next several years she doesn't stray far beyond her caves, except at the Trio's bidding. Eventually she lost all the fire she once had becoming increasingly fearful thanks to the trio's abuse.
After a time in Silverthorne, without the trio to keep her from harm (other than that which they inflicted) she returned with renewed vigor. Never again would she allow herself to be controlled by them. She now hides in Ajani's cave with Laure trying to stay hidden from the trio and the rest of the Oakfern herd.
Timeline
744 early spring- Maeve is born to two, currently unnamed, Oakfern herd members
744 late spring- Maeve meets Morrigan, Macha and Badb for the first time.
745 late spring-748 autumn Despite all efforts from her parents and the rest of the herd she continues to meet and play with Ajani until he seemingly vanishes.
748 summer- Having been threatened with excommunication if she doesn't find some way to stop her "friends" from skinning the local wildlife Maeve seeks out the herbalist in training, Zhaenn, in the hopes that she has some herb that could be used to keep the trio at bay.
748 early autumn- all her efforts to get rid of the trio fail and she is sent to live in some of the deepest parts of the cave.
749 autumn- Finds a very young Izmisumā wandering in the deep caves and helps her get home. The herd is surprised that the fawn isn't traumatized and babbling about shadow fawns but still doesn't allow Maeve to rejoin the main herd.
756 autumn- meets Isk and the trio tells her to lure him to the Oakfern forest clearing after a small fight Isk escapes and Maeve is forced to face the consequences of failure.
756 late autumn- Meets Gia for the first time. And is utterly terrified of her
756 winter- A few days before meeting Taran she runs into Ajani again and is thrilled to learn that he's alright
756 winter- Meets Taran, learns that they can't cross into Adhar's territory, and finally decides to stand up to the trio. She gets tossed around like a rag doll injuring her. He offers her a chance to stay in Silverthorne where she'll be safe until she heals.
756 winter- raped by Kira and becomes pregnant. Swears that she will one day get her revenge
756 winter- while returning to the herd after her ordeal with Kira she is found by Gia and is nearly killed by her, Jade rescues her and safely returns her to the herd.
757 spring- meets Simba
757 spring- Meets Sila who helps her find a safe place to graze and gives her an amulet that, while meant to boost a Silverthorne's power, might also hold the power to frighten the shadow trio away.
757 spring- gives birth to Laure
759- Maeve returns to Oakfern to find Ajani's cave abandoned and moves in. Not long after she and her daughter are forced out. As much as she wanted to go with her daughter she thought it better that she didn't lest she bring more danger down on her daughter's head so, with a heavy heart, she left to find her own way.
760-765 Maeve wanders around the Western Isles eventually making her way to Windborne
